Great day, got to go to the labs in Bethesda, checked out the Federal Govt solution centre and finally go to play with some technology i've been reading all about "RAMMP", frankly its REALLY cool...!

My summary..

Its a really kick ass intelligent bucket 

As an example this platform could provide the ability to suck down video feeds from 50+ camera's and in realtime (or near it) could have an application that is 'watching' the video for movement and then report that back to the operators.  Or how about in realtime watching all the TV stations in the US and whenever a specific set of words are spoken it creates a link to that specific location.  The operator could then click the link and move backwards or forwards through the video watching on the section they were interested in.

The amazing part is that this is based on IBM off the shelf software....!

Oh, did you say throughput...  how about 100Gb per second sustained...!  Yeah read that again..  that’s Gb NOT Mb....! and how about a file system capable of storing 2Pb (2Pb = 2,048Tb....!)
