I havent written for such a long time. So much has happened since over nearly 2 months ago. I have skydived over Canberra, I have had Helen and Louise come out and visit here in Canberra and then I went and saw them in Cairns, I have moved rooms so that it could be painted. Work has been really keeping me busy with loads of shite to deal with. I really feel like just packing in and going back travelling. That would really be fantastic.
Lat weekend I headed off to Sydney in a great rush as I was going to see Ben, Stace and Stew and we were going to have a fantastic time at eh Foo Fighters concert. It was a long long time ago that I went to a concert in Sydney so that was another reason to look forward to it. And it was great. Apart from the rain pissing it down on the way in and then getting off a stop to early. We literally ran into the Superdome, ordered the first drink and then they started. We had to neck do the beer and then head on in. I guess at least we got one drink in. And for the prices they were charging...phewwww.
Then the night was topped off by more carry on back at Ben and Staceys place unill the wee early hours of the morning.
Saturday was spent vegging in front of the telly. And for those aussies out there i recommend taking a look at Carl Braron. Fantastic comedian. You would have seen him on the footy show. Saturday night was a repeat of friday, with out the Foo Fighters. Stace and I even did some fire twirling. Yeah great fun that thing.
Sunday woke up feeling very sorry and not looking forward to the trip home. So after a late lunch, ie 5pm, we headed back to the house to get my gear and head home. So only an hour later than I had hoped I headed out across the harbour bridge. As I daydreamed my way out of the city (obviosly not the best thing to do) I took a wrong turn out near the airport. Soon I realseid that I was heading to Wollongong and that there was no way back. So armed with a telephone and my wits (which were very low at this point) I made the call that may women think that me cannot make. "Ben, Stace, Stew.....HELP!!! And after about 20 minutes Stew and Stace had me back on track and heading towards the hume highway.
After adding an additional hour to my tripI was finally on my way home. So eager to get there though that I decided not to fill up the car, thinking that I had made it to Sydney on half a tank so of course I could make it home. And I am here so obviously I did but my goodness it was touch and go. Heading around Lake George I was praying that the car would not stop. I filled up at the first station I came to all the time thanking whoever was watching over me. I definately would not have enjoyed hanging out on the highway around Lake George all night.
